The Arizona Cardinals ruled out offensive tackle Kelvin Beachum with a hamstring injury 90 minutes prior to their Week 3 kickoff against the Detroit Lions.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Beachum, who has 150 career starts in 12 NFL seasons, is the team’s current starting right tackle after Jonah Williams was placed on injured reserve after Week 1 with a knee injury. Beachum was listed as questionable after being limited in practice on Thursday and Friday.
Offensive tackles Jackson Barton and Charlie Heck were elevated from the practice squad to the active roster yesterday, so one of these two will be starting. No matter who starts at tackle will be going against the NFL leader in sacks (5.5) in Aidan Hutchinson, so the Cardinals will presumably run a lot of two- and three-tight end sets to help with limiting Hutchinson.
Wide receiver Greg Dortch (hamstring) and defensive lineman Dante Stills (shoulder) were also questionable, but are officially active.
This is the full inactives list for the Cardinals:
- OL Kelvin Beachum (hamstring)
- CB Darren Hall
- LB Jesse Luketa
- LB Victor Dimukeje
- OL Jon Gaines II
- TE Travis Vokolek
- WR Xavier Weaver
Meanwhile, Detroit ruled out safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw (hamstring) Friday and listed four players as questionable: LB Alex Anzalone (concussion), CB Terrion Arnold (illness), G Graham Glasgow (knee) and WR Isaiah Williams (abdomen).
Out of these four, Anzalone and Williams will be inactive against Arizona.
