During his 2022 Pro Day, the 23-year-old cornerback showcased his athleticism with some impressive numbers:
- 35 inch vertical
- 4.38 40-yard dash
- 4.20 20-yard shuttle
- 6.84 3-cone drill
Hood began his college football journey at Glenville State, where he played in 22 games over two seasons, securing 9 interceptions and 63 tackles, and earning first-team All-Mountain East Conference honors in 2019. He transferred to Toledo in 2020 without recording any stats, and later moved to Peru State College in 2021, where he tallied 1 interception and 22 tackles.
Since then, Hood has signed with several teams, including the Cincinnati Bengals, New England Giants, and Denver Broncos. However, aside from some preseason action, he has not yet made it onto an NFL roster.
In 2024, Hood played with the Arlington Renegades in the XFL, where he tied for first in the league with six pass deflections and recorded 18 tackles. His contract with the Renegades was terminated on August 5th, paving the way for him to sign with the Cardinals.
