The Cardinals will participate in joint practices with the Indianapolis Colts ahead of their preseason game on August 17 at Lucas Oil Stadium. Head coach Jonathan Gannon had previously teased they were planning on practicing with an AFC team.

“My relationship with Chris Ballard and Shane, I love what Gus [Bradley] does on defense, what they do on offense… it’s different for what we go against,” Gannon told reporters, including Darren Urban of azcardinals.com. “It’s a cool facility. The fan turnout will be awesome, then we will play them.”

The Colts will be the second team on the Cardinals’ preseason schedule, as they’ll host the New Orleans Saints on August 11 and travel to Denver on August 25. They’ll look to improve upon a 4-13 season, with many of their losses coming in close and competitive games.
