Reported by NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the Baltimore Ravens have acquired OT Josh Jones.

“The Ravens have signed former Arizona Cardinals OT Josh Jones, adding some OT depth,” Rapoport said.

While the contract specifications have not been released at the time of reporting, Jones will be at least signed for the 2024 season.

He became a Cardinal after they selected him as a third-round (72nd overall) pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Jones played 47 games (21 starts) through three seasons (2020-22) in the Valley.

But with Arizona’s 2023 sixth-overall pick Paris Johnson Jr. excelling and D.J. Humphries returning from an ACL injury, Jones’ days with the Cardinals were dwindling.

Then on August 24, 2023, Jones and a 2024 seventh-round pick were both traded to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2024 fifth-round pick.

Being born in Houston and going to the Univesity of Houston for college, the 26-year-old was able to play for his hometown team in the NFL. There, he suited up for 13 games and started three times with the Texans.

After becoming a free agent this offseason, Jones has now opted to sign with a Ravens team who are just coming off of a 13-4 2023 season. Led by quarterback Lamar Jackson, Baltimore will look to linemen like Jones to protect their most coveted star.
