In case you missed it, the Phoenix Suns proudly announced last week that starting in Fall 2024, they will hold a G League affiliate.

Prior to this, the Suns were the only team in the NBA without a G League affiliate. This move will expand the G League to 32 teams (two of which are not affiliated with an NBA franchise).

Suns’ owner Mat Ishbia expressed great pride in finally bringing an affiliate team to the valley, stating, “Adding a G League team creates another area for us to compete to be the best and will be a vital tool to help develop players and coaches. Just like the Suns and Mercury, our G League team will serve as a community asset and make a positive impact on and off the court.”

However, what the Suns have yet to decide on is a name.

This is where the fans come in. Taking inspiration from 1968, when fans around Arizona helped pick out the Suns’ name, the team has once again opened up suggestions to fans.

The fan with the winning entry will receive season tickets for the inaugural season along with a $1,000 cash prize.

You can submit your entry at: Qualtrics Survey | Qualtrics Experience Management

Submissions are open until February 28th.
