Weather continues to play a factor

This is the second day in a row where play has been delayed or canceled resulting from weather conditions.

Wednesday’s Pro-Am tournament was canceled early due to rain and hail storms. Several areas of the course at TPC Scottsdale were almost completely flooded.

The PGA Tour announced that play was suspended at 12:32 p.m. MST and was not resumed until 4:02 p.m.

This three-and-a-half-hour delay could play a significant factor in today’s performances.

WM Phoenix Open Weekend outlook

While it is not ideal, the weather will likely remain a factor into the weekend.

Courses should stay dry on Friday and Sunday with some heavy winds. However, the chances of rain are high during Saturday morning and afternoon.

We will have more updates on any delays or cancellations during the weekend if needed.
