Even though the scoresheet says they had 26 shots on Philadelphia goaltender Carter Hart, there were not too many opportunities from the Coyotes that tested him.

Going into the game, Philadelphia were the ninth best team in the league in goals-against with 2.8.

Their pressure on the puck and relentless forechecking caused multiple mishaps from Arizona when in puck possession.

When reflecting on the defensive structure that the Flyers instilled, Tourigny discussed the difficulties of his team trying to create high scoring chances.

“The way they play, it’s tough to get inside.” Tourigny said. “I think we didn’t start the game with enough urgency. They scored and that’s a tough team to play against. It took too long to react.”

As a result, the Coyotes are 13-10-2 on the season with 28 points and sit in fourth place in the Central Division.
