The Big Losers from NFL Week 12

NFL Week 12 is now in the books and there were some players, coaches, units and teams that came out on the bad side of the week. Who are the biggest losers of the week?

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

The Saints Are Not Marching In

The New Orleans Saints lost to the Atlanta Falcons, 24-15. The Saints gained a total of 444 yards but they were not able to score a touchdown. Red zone offense has been a struggle for the Saints all season. They have only scored touchdowns on 42.5% of their red zone possessions. They are 29th in red zone efficiency in the NFL.

The struggles continued on Sunday against the Falcons. The Saints either settled for field goals or turned the ball over whenever they got to the red zone.

These two turnovers were the difference in the game. The Saints are now 5-6 and second in the NFC South. The Falcons are also 5-6 but own the tie-breaker after this win.

The Same Ole Lions?

The Detroit Lions are currently 8-3 and look to be on track to win their first playoff game since 1991. So, going into their Thanksgiving match-up against the Green Bay Packers the expectations were different than any of their other holiday match-ups.

The Lions were heavily favored against the Packers and were dominated from start to finish. The 29-22 final score does not represent how this game truly went. Green Bay was up 20-6 after the first quarter. Hopefully for Lions’ fans this was just a weird divisional match-up and not a sign of things to come.

There are no losers without winners. Check out my winners of week 12 here.
