The Arizona Cardinals are coming off of their second win of the season. They defeated the Atlanta Falcons, 25-23. In that game starting running back, James Conner, had 16 carries for 73 yards. The second leading rusher was quarterback Kyler Murray who had 33 yards rushing. Arizona seems to need depth at the running back position.

Carter was a fourth round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the University of North Carolina by the New York Jets. In 2021, Carter had 147 carries for 639 yards and four touchdowns. He also caught 36 passes for 325 yards. In 2022, he ran for 402 yards and three touchdowns on 114 carries. He also had 288 receiving yards on 41 receptions. Carter has not played much this year, he has only had eight carries and 15 receptions.
The former Tar Heel should be a good addition to the Cardinals’ offense. He can be a good change of pace back behind Conner who also has the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. This a good pick up for the Cardinals.
