On the same night that the D-backs clinched a World Series birth, the Valley got to see one of the best rosters in Suns’ history in action for the first time.

However, Bradley Beal was ruled out before the game due to lower back tightness.

Devin Booker more than shouldered the load, as he finished with 32 points, eight assists and six rebounds. He’s now the leading scorer in the NBA after opening night.

Here’s what fans thought of Booker’s big performance and the huge opening night win.

Kevin Durant only had 18 points on 7-of-22 shooting from the floor, but the Suns still pulled off the victory. It was Durant’s first game back in front of Warriors’ fans since leaving in 2019.

Josh Okogie, Jusuf Nurkić, Yuta Watanabe and Jordan Goodwin were other players that impressed tonight. Below are the full final stats:

In the first half, the Suns dominated, and they led 61-46 heading into the third quarter. This led to Charles Barkley saying the Warriors were “cooked” already after the first half of the first game of the season.

After being outscored 40-19 in the third quarter, Phoenix went on an 11-0 run early in the fourth to help them get the win.

The Suns (1-0) will travel to play the Lakers (0-1) on Thursday with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m. MST
