Washington comes into the game undefeated and just beat one of the best teams in the Pac-12 in Oregon by a final score of 36-33. Their quarterback Michael Penix Jr., is passing for 2,031 yards and 20 touchdowns through 6 games played this season and is currently the favorite to win the Heisman trophy.

Arizona State is coming off of a bye week but their most recent game was a loss to Colorado by a final score of 27-24. Cameron Skattebo has been the team’s best weapon up to this point in the season as he’s rushing for 367 yards and 5 touchdowns up to this point.

This game is going to be a battle between two sides of the ball as Washington’s number two total-ranked offense in the Pac-12 is playing against ASU’s number five total-ranked defense tonight.

The key matchup of tonight’s game will be Rome Odunze battling against Jordan Clark which should be a battle between two of the best players in the Pac-12.

Odds:

  • Moneyline (ML): Arizona State +1500 (bet $100 to win $1,500) and Washington -5000 (bet $5,000 to win $100)
  • Against the spread (ATS): Arizona State +27.5 (-110)  and Washington -27.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under (O/U): 60.5 (O: -105 | U: -115)

Prediction:

Arizona State: 24 – Washington 49

I believe ASU will have a chance to get a lot of yards of total offense against Washington’s defense as they give up 394.3 a game. But ASU is still a rebuilding team learning how to play a complete game and against a team like Washington, your margin for error is very thin.

I believe with the crowd noise and the way Washington can score on offense, ASU’s offense will be in a tough spot to play clean football as well as stay out of third and longs due to pre-snap penalties and incomplete passes.
