One game after getting a starting nod and not doing much, Nassir Little came off the bench last night against the Lakers and excelled in all facets of the game.
Little defended LeBron James on several possessions and started the game shooting 4-of-4. He finished with 11 points and four rebounds. His play helped the Suns complete the preseason 4-1 with a 123-100 victory. Phoenix outscored LA 69-42 in the second half.
The Suns acquired Little and three other players last month in the three-team deal that sent Damian Lillard to the Bucks and Deandre Ayton to the Blazers.
“As the preseason went on, I got more and more comfortable, and I feel like I’m in a good spot right now,” Little said in this interview.
Little and the Suns open their regular season on Tuesday (Oct. 24) against the Golden State Warriors in San Francisco. Little is very confident in the Suns this season.
“I think we top of the West for sure,” Little said. “I think something people that didn’t account for is defensively, we’re probably much better than most people would assume we would be. I think we’re a lot deeper than people probably assume that we are, just looking at it first glance. I think we got the pieces that we need to be successful.”
