Deandre Ayton did not want to talk about facing his former team in the Phoenix Suns when asked about them yesterday.

“There’s no thoughts at all,” Ayton said about facing the Suns.
Ayton was asked another question about the Suns later in the interview and said: “I don’t want to talk about Phoenix. They told me I was going to talk about the game I played yesterday.”

After an up and down five years in Phoenix, the Suns traded Ayton to the Blazers just over two weeks ago. Ayton had eight points, six rebounds, two steals and a block in 15 minutes in his preseason debut with Portland Tuesday.
Phoenix’s next preseason matchup after this game is also against Portland at home on Monday (Oct. 16).
