After holding a tryout for the veteran running back on Thursday, the Arizona Cardinals have decided to sign Marlon Mack to a one-year contract.

Mack is now the sixth running back on the Cardinals current 90-man roster. However, it is likely that Mack can quickly work his way up to being the #2 man behind James Conner.

With Keaontay Ingram not practicing lately due to an undisclosed injury and James Conner unlikely to play at all during preseason, Marlon Mack should see plenty of reps in the Cardinals preseason opener against the Broncos next week.

While Mack did not see much playing time last season, the 27-year-old had a couple of impressive seasons with the Colts. In 2018 and 2019, Marlon averaged over 75 yards per game and scored 18 touchdowns between the two years.

Stay tuned for further updates.
