This was the third move that the Diamondbacks made heading into the deadline.
Tommy Pham is currently in the middle of the 10th season of his MLB career. Pham has now been with a remarkable seven different teams since 2018.
While the 35-year-old is not necessarily known for power, Pham has been a consistent base-hit machine throughout his career. So far this season, he has posted a .268 batting average and .348 OBP in 79 games.
Pham has primarily been a DH for New York this year, but he can also be used anywhere in the outfield.
On the flip side, the Mets received 17-year-old prospect Jeremy Rodriguez, who has been part of the Diamondbacks organization for just a couple of months.
It was a seemingly successful past couple of days for the Diamondbacks, as they finished off their buying spree with a bat to join their two new arms in the bullpen.Â
