Isaiah Todd on Thinking About Winning a Championship with Bradley Beal: “I Get Emotional”

Today was the first day of the summer league minicamp for some new faces of the Suns organization and newly acquired Suns player Isaiah Todd spoke to the media for the first time since he was traded to the team.

Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!

Todd was traded from the Washington Wizards to the Phoneix Suns as a part of the Bradley Beal trade about a month ago and he was asked a ton of questions about the Suns’ new star player and what he brings to the table from a work ethic perspective.

“I don’t know what people talk about him but I know he’s one of the hardest workers that I’ve ever met,” Todd says. “Every time I come into the gym he’s in there working on something. He told me to live in the weight room I never forget and I see him living in the weight room, living in a gym, and that’s just motivation for me as a young guy coming in.”

Todd was also asked a question about the Suns as a whole and what’s his mindset coming into a team ready to win now. With him coming in with Beal, the thought of winning a championship with him would be emotional.

“I almost get emotional just thinking about you know us winning the championship one day and you know everything that he might have gone through behind closed doors and me watching him since I was a kid wanting him to win the chmapionship as well it’s like amazing to see.”

Suns Looking to be More Dynamic With New Acquisitions

Todd will be looking to carve out a role for himself on the team starting with summer league as he and teammate Jordan Goodwin will be looking to make a really good first impression for the Suns coaching staff.
