The worst part of his series so far was Game 3 when he got benched in favor of Jock Landale when he finished with 4 points and 9 rebounds and Landale finished with 6 points and 9 rebounds.

Landale finished with a +10 and Ayton finished with a -4. Despite all of this, Ayton understood why the coach did what he did in an honest and authentic answer after the Suns’ game 4 win vs. the Nuggets.

There was a lot of bad attention going toward Ayton during that game including a situation that happened when he supposedly ignored Chris Paul twice shortly after the benching when he was trying to talk to him.

A lot of the bad attention caused teammate and friend Jock Landale to defend Ayton in practice on Saturday a day before game 4 in a passionate statement made by the Center.

Phoenix Suns have a very important Game 6 tomorrow night in Denver. Let’s see if Ayton can bounce back in a big way and help his team potentially go up 3-2.
