On Wednesday, the Suns are trailing the Nuggets 2-0 in a best-of-seven series in the western conference semifinals.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! In this series so far the Suns have not shot the ball well, have had a hard time getting to the foul line as they only shot 5 free throws in Game 2, and is getting manhandled physically in the paint by Nikola Jokic.
Going back to game 1 of the series there was a viral video that went around social media of Suns Center Deandre Ayton looking at the ball while other people were trying to rebound the basketball for him which made a lot of Suns fans unhappy with the effort.

During practice today Ayton was asked by Arizona Sports Kellan Olsen about the viral video and Ayton didn’t like the narrative that’s being pointed against him.
.@KellanOlson asked Deandre Ayton about ESPN’s Game 1 clip of him standing by the basket and commented with “👏🏼”
Ayton: “It’s just funny how they just pick out that one thing. I don’t know what you wanted me to do right there, but yeah. Things like that, it’s just kinda weird.” pic.twitter.com/wJPBk6k7hk

Fans have criticized Ayton in the past for lack of effort on the glass. Now with the Suns down 0-2, there’s little room for error for a player that a lot of people believe has the potential to be a top 5 Center in the league.
