While many expected a trade to occur before the end of the first round, Ossenfort has shifted away from the possibility of a trade occurring at all.

When asked if a trade is around the corner, the Cardinals’ GM replied:

“I don’t foresee that happening.”

He also added, “DeAndre’s a Cardinal, and we’re moving forward,” per Cardinals’ insider Howard Balzer.

Arizona made two different trades on opening night of the draft, first with the Texans and then with the Lions. In the end, they got OT Paris Johnson Jr. at #6 overall.

The Cardinals will most likely be done for the day, as Ossenfort left the draft room with, “See you tomorrow.”

It was an eventful but successful day for the Cardinals, a day that the franchise desperately needed.

Tomorrow, Arizona will start with the #33 overall pick.
