It’s finally here Suns fans, the Phoenix Suns will be hosting the Los Angeles Clippers for game 1 of the first round of the 2022-23 playoffs. The Suns and Clippers went on to combine for the season series 2-2 with Kawhi Leonard never once played against Kevin Durant since he got traded to Phoenix.

Durant ended up finishing the season shooting 55-40-90 splits which was the first time a player has done that in NBA history. Devin Booker finished the season with 27.8 PPG which was a franchise record for most points per game in a single season.

Josh Okogie collected 109 rebounds becoming the fourth guard in franchise history to do so and Deandre Ayton averaged a double-double on 50% shooting for the season becoming the first Suns player to accomplish this in each of his first five seasons.

As for the Clippers, Paul George will miss the first couple of games and then get re-evaluated when the series switches to Los Angeles. Kawhi Leonard has come back to form and new acquisition Russell Westbrook has been finding his stride as of late as well.

Norman Powell has been the Clippers’ second-best scoring option with George out and he’s looking to be a contributor in the playoffs off the bench. So many things to look forward to ahead of today’s matchup but here are the odds.

Odds:

Against The Spread: The Suns are favored at -7.5

Moneyline: The Suns are -300 and the Clippers are +250

Over/Under: The Over/Under is set at 225

Predictions:

I got the Suns winning game one at the Footprint Center by a final score of 111-102. I think Devin Booker is going to come out firing and ready to go while Kevin Durant takes what the defense gives him and has an efficient 25+ point game. Kawhi Leonard will do his thing but I’m afraid it won’t be enough for game one tomorrow night.

Bismack Biyombo is ready to go for Sunday

Tip-off is at 5 PM AZ time and the Valley is going to be rocking tomorrow at the game in what should be an amazing night of basketball.
