Towards the end of the first half of the Suns’ Monday night primetime matchup against the Golden State Warriors, Steph Curry had a few words for Chris Paul.
The nine-time All Star and four-time NBA Champion was seen mouthing to the Suns’ PG, “This ain’t 2014 no more.”

Curry was referring to the 2014 Western Conference first round, where Chris Paul played a large role in the Los Angeles Clippers 4-3 series victory over the Warriors. The Clippers later went on to advance to the NBA Finals, where they fell to the San Antonio Spurs.
During the first round of this Western Conference series, Paul averaged 17.5 points per game along with a ridiculous nine assists per game.
However, overall, Steph Curry holds a 21-15 record against Chris Paul. And when looking at rings, Curry is leading in that category by a wide margin.
In Monday’s matchup, the Warriors once held a lead of over 20 points after an explosive 1st quarter. But, halfway through the third quarter, the Suns cut the lead down to only five.
Steph Curry, through two-and-a-half quarters, recorded 17 points on 6 of 9 shooting. Paul, on the other hand, has just seven points on 10 shots.
