Though the Phoenix Suns are more concerned with every game remaining, fans were tuned in on Wednesday night to watch the debut of Kevin Durant.
Durant finally donned the Suns uniform against the Charlotte Hornets, and he was there for much more than just cheering from the bench.
Durant, 34, was able to put together a 23-point performance, shooting 10-of-15 from the field. He also shot 2-of-4 from three-point range.
As such, Suns fans jumped online to celebrate in the arrival of the player that could put them over the hump for a title.

Kevin Durant is the best player in the NBA. You never seen a superstar In NBA history like this who can plug into any system and play with anyone anytime without zero reps

To most fans’ observance, Durant’s ability to fit seamlessly into any system is legendary. Durant was never known as a system player, but being on his fourth team clearly displays that.
The Washington, D.C. native finished his debut with a plus-13. Most of his more impressive plays coming without scoring.
His presence was infectious, as was echoed by Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton in postgame answers.
Even being on a minutes restriction, it didn’t seem as though Durant would simply sit for the time required. After initially being done for the night on Wednesday, the former MVP was seen getting some last minute playing time.
At the moment, Durant is expected to play on Friday against the Chicago Bulls. The Suns have a break in between road games, giving him time to rest during his comeback from the MCL sprain.
Currently, the Suns sit at fourth in the Western Conference. Phoenix is currently only two wins behind the Sacramento Kings for the third seed.
