The Arizona Cardinals have reportedly added one more coach to their final pool of candidates. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, Michael Bidwill plans to meet with Eagles’ DC Jonathan Gannon, who is currently getting ready for the Super Bowl.

This could explain why Arizona waited until after the Super Bowl to finalize its head coaching decision.
Jonathan Gannon joins Mike Kafka and Lou Anarumo as the final three candidates in the Cardinals’ search.
However, it is important to note that Gannon may not share the same optimism as Bidwill about being the team’s new head coach.
After the Eagles defeated the 49ers to advance to the Super Bowl, Gannon was asked whether he was interested in a head coaching gig, and he replied with:
“No, Philly’s keeping me,” “Good, bad, or indifferent, I’m staying here.”
Whether this will remain his answer depending on the result of the big game on Sunday remains uncertain, but from an outside perspective, it would be uncharacteristic for Gannon to leave his position coaching one of the best defenses in the NFL to become the head coach of a team that finished near the bottom of the league.
Nevertheless, this interview is scheduled to take place on Monday.
Stay tuned for more updates.
