Finding a new head coach has been no easy task for the Cardinals. After a number of nominees left the market, Arizona will now hold a second interview with Bengals DC Lou Anarumo, via Kelsey Conway.
#Bengals DC Lou Anarumo is scheduled to have his second interview with the Arizona Cardinals for their vacant head coach job on Friday, a source tells me.

Lou Anarumo has been an NFL coach since 2012, most recently as the Bengals’ defensive coordinator for the past four seasons.
Before taking over the defense, the Bengals were consistently at the bottom of the league for points allowed, yards allowed, etc.
Fast forward to 2022, and Cincinnati finished the regular season in the top 10 for just about every defensive category. A highly impressive boost considering the Bengals are mainly known for their high-powered offense.
It seems like the Cardinals are zeroing in on a defensive specialist to take over as head coach for next year.
This may not be the worst idea, given their struggles on the defensive front in 2022. By the end of last season, the Cardinals were second to last in the league for points allowed per game at 26.4, a number that is often forgotten because of the blame placed on their offense.
